Default Unlock a new character slot.

Any idea what kind of mammoth achievement of epic proportions would warrant such a reward as unlocking a new character slot?

If you completed the game with role-playing characters on all four slots, and unlock all the skills, surely a bonus slot would be worthy of achieving that?

Now that it’s easier to unlock things for PVP characters only, then surly there is going to be even more of a need for another slot, maybe even a PVP character only slot?

Oh yeah, add a 'secret unlock mechanism'. Like, if you play through the game with all classes in a certain order, you get one slot for free. Who knows, if this isn't already implemented? I can imagine how good this works, just think of Star Wars Galaxies and the old way to unlock Jedi (not that the new one was really better).

Personally, I'd rather hand them another 50$ (although it was more like 80 US-$ last time), to get more character slots.

Although I'm not sure how they would go about it, they really should have and additional charater slot.

I use 3 for pve and 1 for pvp. 3 for pve is not enough. I like to help out my guild mates and if I could have a healer, fight, disruptor, and nuker at hand, that would be awesome. I also like to pvp so that isn't possible. I know Anet has thought long time about this but I'd still like to see a total of 5 slots.

Nice idea, but it would play into the hands of macros, hackers, and acne-inclined teenagers everywhere. What you're saying, would take hundreds of ours to complete, which would mean the people who don't have jobs, and can spend 24+ hours a day(it's a gaming joke, if you dont get it, dont hurt your brain over it) on GW have the largest advantage. And if you're not comfortable with 4 character slots, A.Nets not going to cry for you. They offer their servers for free, and deliver an incredible online experience. Not only is the ping wonderful, but it handles millions of people over the entire globe, and runs top of the line graphics...

bottom line...don't complain about character slots. if you have time to unlock everything in the game...get outside into the sunlight before sunlight starts having an acidic reaction on your skin...most likely get a job, buy another cd key, and go back into your hole...i don't care, just dont complain about character slots

That makes no sense. If people who are too busy to care about the 4 slot limit don't play enough to see it as limited, then how come they care that others can get it with more work? How does it affect other people's gameplay again? Oh sorry it doesn't. How does it imbalance PVP? Oh sorry it doesn't. How does it imbalance PVE? By letting you have another character? Newsflash, PVE is not balanced whatsoever and was never intended to be the way you think it is. Why are they rewarding "no life" people with Fissure Armour or extra skill points? Sorry but that's the whole point; this game has content that caters to all players.

Buying another account? Oh sorry, does that mean the unlocks come with your second account? Even people that "have no lives" aren't stupid enough to do it all over again.

Just as your being arrogant enough to assume these people automatically "need to get a life" for making such a request, anyone can assume that you just feel uncomfortable because player groups that are different then you are gaining from something your not willing to put time into even though it's very menial when it comes to affecting your playing experience. Perhaps it is you who needs to go outside and stop caring.

I am on the verge of buying another account, I *really* need the extra characters. The reason I havent isnt money, but unlocks.

There needs to exist some way to have more character slots, if I have to pay for it--fine. I just dont want to have to 'start from scratch.'

Im near certain they would offer something like an extra 1-4 character slots with the expansion. RPGs with expansions tend to add cheesy things that make players want to buy them... (extra storage in D2 etc)

I don't really believe adding more slots would be very difficult, and it wouldn't help the botters or 24/7 players. To the person who posted that, exactly WHY would a botter need more slots when all they need is one w / ? to run and farm?
